A huge thank you to all those who voted for me yesterday.
Unfortunately it wasn't enough to re-elect me to serve for another four years as your councillor.
It has been a privilege to be your councillor for the last four years.

We've never met, but commiserations, I'm sure you were a fine councillor and it's tough to lose an election. John Major said, if you don't enjoy losing, don't enjoy winning, and he was right. I'm sure you'll still have a lot to contribute politically.
