With the nights drawing in PCSO Eke suggested it would be useful to do a ward walkabout to look for broken lights. To this end I have started to organise one. We are awaiting confirmation from some partners, but it looks like we will be setting off from City Homes North (on Arbury Road) at 5pm on Tuesday 10th November. We will post confirmation of this to the blog.
Two things: if you know of a broken light let us know before then so we make sure it is included, and secondly if you would like to join us please do so.

While this is fantastic - as there are loads of street lights out in the area - it would be really useful if the system could be improved so that streetlights reported as out by residents got fixed.
There are lights in the city which I reported out six weeks ago which have not yet been fixed:

I shouldn't have to resort to writing to councillors or senior officers to get things fixed.
Hi Richard,
I wanted to jump in with a quick "I saw your comment" post so I'd could then go and do some digging.
You're right of course you shouldn't have to contact officers or councillors these things should just get fixed when they're reported broken.
I'll find out what's going on and update you.
